Canada, guest country at the 2019 Festival Internacional Cervantino

It’s a tremendous honour for Canada to be the guest country at the 2019 edition of the Festival Internacional Cervantino, held each year in the beautiful city of Guanajuato, Mexico, in October. Cervantino is one of the most important cultural festivals in the world. The Canada Council for the Arts will work in close collaboration with the Festival’s leadership and several partners in this country to present programming that reflects the originality and uniqueness of current artistic creation in Canada in all disciplines of the performing arts. Special attention will be given to Indigenous creation, diversity and innovative artistic approaches.
