Engage and Sustain fosters a vibrant foundation for the arts in Canada by supporting arts organizations at the heart of Canada’s creative communities.
This program funds organizations that are dedicated to developing excellence in arts practice, advancing the arts through programming, and exposing a diverse public to a range of artists and creative works.
The Canada Council for the Arts expects this program to achieve the following outcomes:
- Canadian arts organizations offer high-quality outreach activities that engage the public
- Canadian arts organizations respond to change and are resources for their professional communities, creating conditions for sustained artistic development
- Through high-quality programming and outreach activities, Canadian arts organizations are relevant in their local communities
Program Components
Artistic Catalysts
Core grants to support the activities of Canadian arts organizations rooted in communities for the creation, production and dissemination of work
Artistic Institutions
Core grants to support the activities of major Canadian arts institutions as leaders in the development of arts practice
