Overview of the funding portal

The Canada Council for the Arts’ funding portal is the main platform for accessing details about funding opportunities, submitting and managing applications and nominations, participating in peer assessment activities and getting help with your account.

Notice: The resources provided below were developed while the updated portal was still in progress. As a result, screenshots in the resources may not match the actual system, and may contain provisional, unclear or inconsistent terminology. Our language experts are actively working to resolve known translation discrepancies and improve overall language accuracy across the portal. We appreciate your patience and understanding. If you encounter any errors or unclear language, please let us know. Your feedback is invaluable as we continue to enhance the experience for everyone.

Get help with your application

Individuals or the lead applicant for a group who self-identify as:

  • an artist who is Deaf, hard of hearing, has a disability or is living with a mental illness, or
  • a First Nations, Inuit or Métis artist facing language, geographic and/or cultural barriers

may be eligible for Application Assistance to help cover costs for services that support the application or nomination process.
