Culture Mauricie Puts Data at the Service of Culture

The Data Culture 04 project will cross analyze data from the entire cultural sector to increase discoverability and foster citizen engagement in the arts.

Sharing data to better understand cultural consumer habits

Analyzing cultural sector data provides a plethora of information on people’s cultural consumer habits. The Mauricie region is refining its cultural data analysis practices through the Data Culture 04 project. The first step is to collect and share box office data and other data from a set of local cultural organizations in order to analyze it.

A unique programming interface that fosters discoverability

The organization also plans to create a new dissemination tool that will foster cultural discoverability thanks to a recommendation algorithm. It will also collect more data on consumer habits with respect to cultural products.
