The Halifax INK collective, which brings together several Nova Scotia galleries, exhibited art books, zines and periodicals at the 2018 Printed Matter art book fair.

First-rate international visibility

The New York City Art Book Fair, which is presented annually at the famous MoMA, welcomes 35,000 visitors from all over the world. It is one of the best opportunities to promote Canadian art book artists. This year, by sharing a booth with the New York City-based Franklin Furnace organization, which is renowned around the world for the quality of its work, Halifax INK enhanced its outreach considerably.

A networking and development opportunity

Represented by Michele Gallant, from the Dalhousie Gallery in Halifax, the Halifax INK collective also enhanced its network of contacts and developed opportunities for international collaborations. Michele Gallant took advantage of the event to meet as many representatives of different cultural organizations, with which international partnerships are materializing.
