Arts Across Canada and Abroad connects artists from Canada with audiences at home and around the world.
Artists, arts professionals, groups and organizations can apply to share, present and tour their work, engage with the public and build stronger national and international profiles.
This new program, introduced in 2025, combines activities previously covered by Arts Across Canada and Arts Abroad.

Éditions Hannenorak
Literature
The Arts Across Canada program is supporting Éditions Hannenorak in its translation into French of a work that centres on Indigenous culture.

Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival
Media Arts
The Public Outreach component of the Arts Across Canada program supports the Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival in publishing its anthology.

Cold Cuts Video Festival
Media Arts
The Arts Across Canada component supports the Cold Cuts Video Festival with the presentation, promotion and outreach of an exhibition that features Canadian artists’ videos.

MUTEK
Digital Arts
Foreign-purchaser participation in the MUTEK Forum was supported by the Representation and Promotion component of the Arts Abroad program.

Art Museum at the University of Toronto
Visual Arts
With an Arts Abroad, Co-productions grant, the Art Museum at the University of Toronto is celebrating the work of Indigenous artist Alanis Obomsawin.

Ajtony Csaba
Music and Sound
The Arts Abroad component supported Ajtony Csaba in his travels and concerts abroad to promote Victoria’s SALT New Music Festival.

Translation
Next deadline: October 29, 2025
Funding to support the translation of literary works or dramatic works from Canada into French, English, an Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit or Métis) language from the land now known as Canada, American Sign Language (ASL), Quebec Sign Language (LSQ) or any other regional or Indigenous sign language for publication or presentation in Canada.
International Translation
Next deadline: October 29, 2025
Funding to support the translation of literary works or dramatic works from Canada for international presentation or publication and awarded to organizations, groups and collectives or international literary publishers.
Circulation and Touring
Next deadline: October 22, 2025
Funding for the circulation and touring of artists, exhibitions and artistic works by artists, artistic groups and arts organizations from Canada.
International Residencies
Next deadline: October 22, 2025
Support for artists, arts workers, artistic groups and artistic organizations from Canada to attend a residency abroad.
International Co-productions

Multi-year funding for Arts Festivals and Presenters that showcase artistic work and build relationships between artists and audiences.

- Deaf, hard of hearing, having a disability or living with mental illness; or
- First Nations, Inuit or Métis facing language, geographic and/or cultural barriers.
