Musicians Teresa Doyle and Patrick Bunston gave impressive performances at the Woodford Folk Festival in Queensland in December 2017.

Exposure at a major international event

Every year, the internationally-renowned Woodford Folk Festival hosts more than 2,000 performers in its programming of more than 400 shows. With the support of a Canada Council travel grant, Teresa Doyle and Patrick Bunston gave six concerts on both small and large stages, including a performance for a youth audience. Singer Teresa Doyle also gave a solo performance at the nearby Cygnet Festival.

An accessible Australian network with global reach

Presenters from around the world attended the Woodford Folk Festival, which was an excellent opportunity for the PEI musicians to make themselves known to many professionals. New invitations to events in Australia were discussed.
