Applications will only be accepted through the Canada Council portal beginning in mid-May.

You will need a profile to apply, so create an account and profile if you do not have one.

Remember that the validation of the profile might take up to 15 business days. You can start preparing your application using the preview guidelines but remember that you must apply through the portal. Applying through the portal is only possible when your profile has been validated. So the sooner you send the profile for validation, the better.

Applications will be accepted and assessed internally on a first come first served basis up until 15 June 2020 or until the budget has been spent.

If you require additional information or guidance, contact digitaloriginals@canadacouncil.ca before submitting your application.

We may not be able to respond to all enquiries as quickly as we want.

We welcome VRS calls, and we can also support longer conversations with your preferred sign language interpreter in ASL or LSQ. As always, we will cover these interpreting costs. Please email us to schedule a call.

If you are Deaf or hard of hearing and need assistance to pay someone to help you with the application process, please visit our Application Assistance page.
