The Bernard Diamant Prize offers Canadian classical singers under age 35 an opportunity to pursue their career through further studies. They may also take singing classes with a coach, master or professor, or even attend voice training workshops.

Bernard Diamant, a baritone and emeritus professor of music, understood the importance of relying on youth and artistic excellence. His generous bequest to the Canada Council and memorial gifts from his friends attest to his engagement.
