The Hispanic Canadian Arts and Cultural Association (HCACA) is developing a digital space for artists to increase their visibility, promote their work and network with peers.

Supporting Canadian-born and newcomer Hispanic artists online

The HCACA is aiming to help artists of Hispanic background overcome professional barriers through a new initiative. The Hispanic-Canadian Arts Digital Platform will serve as a centralized network for those in the arts community who share similar culture, language and artistic aspirations. Built with input from several independent Hispanic-Canadian artists, the digital space will integrate modern user-friendly tools, such as visual galleries, live streaming and 3D exhibition technologies. In addition to uniting and promoting artist profiles, the platform will demonstrate the value of the Hispanic artistic community to Canadians at large.

A digital platform to support artists’ development

The Hispanic-Canadian Arts Digital Platform will give individual artists the opportunity to expand their professional networks and learn new practices. Artists will have access to peer support, mentorship and other professional development resources. Artist profiles and portfolios will also be available to interested programmers, presenters and curators. The platform will launch in Ontario, but it is expected to expand across Canada shortly after.
