As part of the Canada Council’s commitment to raise the international profile of Canadian artists and arts organizations, we’re supporting four international delegations in 2020.

The Delegation to the Liverpool Biennial and London will take place July 11–16, 2020. The Liverpool Biennial is the United Kingdom’s largest festival of contemporary visual art. In 2020, the 11th edition of the Liverpool Biennale—The Stomach and the Port, curated by Manuela Moscoso with artistic director Fatos Üstek—explores notions of the body and ways of connecting with the world. More than 50 international artists have been invited to respond to this theme within the context of Liverpool.

Through the Canada Council’s delegation to the Liverpool Biennial, participants will have the opportunity to engage and network with international delegates participating in this world-class event and gain better understanding of the UK art scene.
