Last year, the Canada Council for the Arts hosted the inaugural Translation Rights Fair. The event was a great success and feedback was extremely positive. English- and French-language publishers enjoyed the opportunity to meet, exchange information, and ultimately sell translation rights and add new titles to their lists. To get a sense of the excitement of the event, watch our videos.

Now, you can join us for the second edition in Montreal. Here’s an overview of what’s planned:

Thursday evening

  • networking reception

Friday morning and afternoon

  • one-on-one business meetings between English- and French-language publishers. Each publisher will have a table for these meetings.
  • buffet lunch
  • a panel discussion on marketing translations.

Whether you’re a seasoned publisher of translations or looking to add translations to your list, make the Translation Rights Fair your destination.

Travel subsidies are available to cover 50% of the cost of accommodation, meals and travel. See the registration form for details.
