Grants to Media Arts Organizations: Initiatives

Program Description
The Grants to Media Arts Organizations program offers grants to Canadian organizations that demonstrate a sustained commitment to research and development and the creation, presentation, dissemination, distribution or collection of independent Canadian media artworks. The purpose of this program is to strengthen organizations throughout Canada to ensure the conditions necessary for the vitality and advancement of independent media arts in Canada.

Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for this grant, applicants must be receiving operational support from the Media Arts Section through the Grants to Media Arts Organizations : Multi-Year Operating program.

Grant Amount
The maximum amount that may be awarded under this component during a single Canada Council for the Arts fiscal year (1 April to 31 March) cannot exceed $75,000, whether awarded in full in one competition or as the result of two applications submitted to consecutive competitions.
