New Chapter

The Canada Council for the Arts is marking the 150th Anniversary of Confederation with a special program to support the creation and sharing of exceptional artistic and literary works. With renewed investment in the arts and culture, we look forward to funding inspiring works that will help Canadian artists to envision and create our shared future. These works will encourage public engagement in the arts and will promote outreach locally, nationally and internationally.

The deadline for the first competition was July 4; that of the second, October 31.

There was an unprecedented level of participation in the New Chapter program, with more than 500 proposals for the July 4 competition and more than 1600 for the October 31 competition. Thank you for your participation!

For questions about the New Chapter program, please contact Christian Mondor or Sue-Ellen Gerritsen, at newchapter@canadacouncil.ca or at extension 4008.
