The International Residencies program supports professional individuals and collaborations in the visual arts, which includes fine craft, and independent critics and curators, in furthering their artistic practice and professional development in an international context.
Activities normally funded through this program will be eligible in the New Funding Model, starting 1 April, 2017.
The maximum grant amount that you can receive from this program is $20,000. You are expected to determine the amount of your grant request based on your needs.
Participation in a professional international artists’ residency in a single location or multiple destinations for the purpose of:
- development of international networks
- creative renewal through research and critical reflection
- research and creation of artworks, curatorial projects, or critical writings
- professional development through mentorship, networking, training, and/or collaboration
