Jeux de la Francophonie 2013 : meet Team Canada!

The Aboriginal Arts Office is committed to ensuring that the Canada Council's services and programs best meet the needs of Canada's First Nations, Inuit and Métis arts communities.

The Office continually consults with the Aboriginal arts community to learn about current artistic practices, trends and issues and shares this knowledge with the Council and its various networks (agencies, organizations, government departments). It also collaborates with all divisions of the Council to ensure Aboriginal history, knowledge, perspectives and experience become a part of the organization's understanding and commitment to equity.

The Office also manages two programs that aim to strengthen the Aboriginal arts sector: Capacity Building and Aboriginal Peoples Collaborative Exchange. More on the office's mandate...
